We all have different stories of when we first learned to knit and who taught us. My mam taught me from about the age of 5 and I have loved it ever since.

My mum and my grandma. I once knitted a whole scarf by myself, but now I can't remember how to do it.

My partner always said they would teach me but never did
I can't knit at all; I never learnt.
My best friend learned to knit while she was pregnant with her first child. Her mother in law taught her. So while I was with her one day, she asked if she could in turn teach me. (Usually we drink wine and bs, but seeing that was out of the question) I rolled my eyes, grabbed some needles, and have been knitting ever since. So now we chase kids, drink wine AND knit! ;)
