Sometimes it's nice to just slow down the pace of knitting a large blanket or adult sweater and just knit something small and simple instead.

This lovely vintage pattern is knitted on single pointed needles. It is sometimes difficult to decipher the instructions with a vintage pattern, however this one is very straight forward and would be suitable for even a beginner knitter.

It is quite special to have something like this in your childs wardrobe as it is a item that can be handed down from generation to generation.

The design of the cuff and the added ribbon really make these mittens special.

If you would like to knit these yourself, the pattern is available free from freevinatgeknitting.com where you will find loads of other great vintage patterns.
