Do you give away many of the items you create as gifts?

When we are finished making our project, it is sometimes difficult to give them away as you can become attached to them through all the hard work you put into them.
Do you give away any items you knit as gifts? Or do you always keep what you create?

I crochet a lot and keep almost nothing for myself. I love giving my projects away as gifts because it makes me feel like I have accomplished something and I have made someone else's day.
I don't knit, but I still make some nice gifts.
I spend hours and some turn out great!
One I did last week, is now not quite up to 'par'.
I will give it to the Op shop....and maybe someone will like it.
I'm very critical about what I make, and sometimes my family can't see the mistakes.
So that's part of the process for me.Some I find very hard to give away, so I sell them on ebay.
They always give me great feedback, and it's nice to make the extra money and please someone else.
My homemade crafts aren't good enough to be gifts.
I like to make/paint/sew things for the people I hold closest to me. I tend to draw and paint for my partner and sew toys for his youngest brother.
